35. Bedrooms
34. An Update
I gave up on my blog a few years ago, but as we're currently in Coronavirus lockdown and I've got a bit of time on my hands, I thought I'd post an update. The house is (nearly) all finished now, and we've been happily living here for a few years!

33. Kitchen
Kitchen has taken some time to finish but is almost complete now:

Next, tiling the floor.

Tiling complete..........

.......apart from the LED lights for a bit of added bling.

Units are installed....

....as well as the over counter lighting.

Worktops with integrated sink.

Splashback and sockets... all draughtsmen love a label. And a beer fridge.

All done!
First job, tiling the reinstated pantry (obviously).

Worktops with integrated sink.

32. Bathroom and ensuites
12 months on from my last blog and we're still not finished. No surprise there then I hear you say. Some shoddy work from our builder means we parted company last year, so it's back to just me working weekends and calling in tradesmen I can trust where required.
Anyway, here's a bit of an update:
Similar story in the main bathroom. You can see the Hardiebacker going onto the walls too.
The tiler arrives and it's starting to look a bit more like a bathroom.
Bath goes in and more tiling.
Matching tiles for the ensuites.
LED lighting installed below cupboards for some added bling.
Bespoke mirrored doors complete the job.

31. A spot of gardening.
Back in the summer, while the builders were busy making a mess in the house, I thought it might be a good time to investigate the garden.
It's a bit of a jungle when viewed from above....
...and ground level.
However, a weekend's work lopping and shredding....
...starts to clear a path.
Another weekend reveals that the garden doesn't just go on for ever.
Some assistance arrives...
...and off we go to the tip.
All that hard work reveals our first good view of the extension. I am happy with the result although I think the comedy tree will have to go...
